In this episode, we join Kenji as he enjoys a 休日 /kyūjitsu/ (holiday). He starts his day slowly, savoring a cup of コーヒー /kōhī/ (coffee) while admiring the bright 太陽 /taiyō/ (sun) outside his window. After deciding to do some 掃除 /sōji/ (cleaning), he makes plans to meet his friend Mari.
Together, they head to the supermarket where they pick up some fresh フルーツ /furūtsu/ (fruits) and enjoy a delicious ランチ /ranchi/ (lunch) at a cafe. Kenji chooses a sandwich while Mari opts for a salad. Later, they take a relaxing stroll in the park, sharing stories and enjoying their time together.
As the day comes to a close, Kenji reflects on the joy of spending time with friends and the comfort of being at home, even watching テレビ /terebi/ (TV) and listening to music. This delightful holiday shows that both relaxation and socializing are essential.
